Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Prepare ingredients and cook meals per standardized recipes.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet service demands.
• Assist in inventory management and report shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Complete an approved sanitation and safety course (ServSafe).
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by law.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are preferred.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Work around food and cleaning products safely.
• Residency within the service area is required.
