Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Cook to support daily dining operations at a Kansas community. You will prepare hot and cold menu items, working across grill, sauté, salad-bar, and service lines while ensuring quality and portion control.

The role emphasizes food safety, accuracy, and presentation, with weekend shifts and a comprehensive benefits package. Competitive wages and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Senior Living preferred.
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
• Great organizational skills a must.
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
• Must be able to work weekends. Weekend shift ends typically by 1:00pm

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes;
