Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Prep Cook for the Lake City School District. This on-site role supports meal service by assisting with prep, serving students, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am to 2 pm, with a pay range of $14–$15 per hour. You’ll follow recipes, monitor safety logs, communicate needs to the team, stock during meals, and help train new staff.

Prep Cook – Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at Lake City School District

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Prep Cook to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
