Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Cook for our school food service program at Baltic School District. This daytime, Monday–Friday role offers a stable schedule, opportunities to work with students, and a focus on nutritious meals.

You will follow recipes, maintain safety and service standards, and work collaboratively with staff to ensure great meals and smooth service throughout the day.

Qualifications

• 1 year food service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow recipes and measure ingredients for large batches.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following provided recipes for scheduled serving times.
• Support daily meal operations, forecast, prepare special diets, assist with events, stock/serve items.
• Maintain food safety and HHFKA/HACCP records and monitor participation trends.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized using FIFO and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and staff to ensure smooth operations and service.
• Train new staff and assist in other roles as needed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am-2pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Cook to join our school food service program. If you take pride in preparing nutritious and delicious meals, enjoy a positive work environment working with students, and want a schedule that supports work–life balance, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook high‑quality meals by following provided recipes and ensure everything is ready for scheduled serving times.
• Support daily meal operations by assisting with forecasting, preparing special diet items, helping with special events, and stocking/serving menu items during service.
• Maintain food safety and compliance by following HHFKA serving guidelines, completing HACCP logs and production records, and monitoring participation trends.
• Keep the kitchen running smoothly through regular cleaning, organizing storage areas using FIFO practices, and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
• Contribute to team growth by helping train new staff and filling in in other roles when needed.

What You Bring

• 1 year food service experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
