Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in a kitchen setting.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.

Summary:

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Prep Cook at the Irving Convention Center. This hands-on position requires providing the highest level of food quality and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef and cooks in following and maintaining standard recipes as listed in the ASM Global Food and Beverage Standard recipe book.
• Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment.
• Assist in preparation of menu items as directed on Production Sheet.
• Maintain quality food production standards.
• Prepare hot food items for various work stations, including Fry/Sauté, Broiler/Roast, Breakfast, Stock, Soups, Sauces, and others as assigned.
• Follow all rules and regulations set by ASM Global.
• Safely operate all equipment.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and health code standards.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive and/or Sous Chefs.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience required.
• Facility/industry experience preferred.

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety.

Other Qualifications
