Job summary

HCA Florida University Hospital in Davie, FL is seeking a Prep Cook to support the Nutritional Service Department by preparing cold items, following standardized recipes, and ensuring portion control for inpatient and retail areas.

You will assist with catering setups, maintain a clean, sanitized workspace, and fill in for cafeteria operations when needed. English fluency required; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent, preferred
• One year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred
• Must be able to speak, write, and read in English

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Prep Cook under the direction of the FANS Management team performs routine daily tasks related to food preparation needs of the Nutritional Service Department, ensuring a clean and sanitized work area. Provides the highest level of customer service at all times. Prepares all required “cold” items consistently following without exception all standardized recipes and portion control for both inpatient and retail areas. Assists with catering function set-ups as needed. Fills in for cafeteria works as needed in their absence.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent, preferred
• One year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred
• Must be able to speak, write, and read in English
