Quechan Casino Resort in Winterhaven, CA is hiring a dedicated Prep Cook to join its casino culinary team. Under supervision of the Sous Chef, you will follow recipes, prep items, and ensure proper storage and labeling of products in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires at least 1 year of prep cook experience, a minimum age of 18, and ability to pass pre-employment drug and background checks. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity with emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year prep cook experience, large volume prep cooking preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, random drug and controlled substance abuse tests, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license in Arizona and California.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness of all food preparation utensils, counters, containers, serving, cooking equipment, and common areas.
• Follow recipes utilizing standard recipes when preparing each product.
• Ensure production of prep items, check prep list, and inventory on hand vs. projected needs to determine what items are needed for the day.
• Ensure product rotation by checking walk-ins, shelves and new product received daily.
• Ensure old and new prepped and un-prepped product is clearly marked with dates and rotated such that old product is issued and used first.
• Ensure proper storage of product.
• Maintain and operate equipment properly.
• Communicate with coworkers and guests, maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
