Job summary

Gulf Coast Endoscopy Center of Venice, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc., seeks a Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse in Venice, FL. The RN will deliver high-quality, continuous patient care, monitor recovery from anesthesia, and support physicians in the PACU and procedure rooms.

Requirements include active RN license in Florida, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and PACU or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques.
• Provide total comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.

The Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
