Job summary

Suburban Endoscopy Center is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU RN in Verona, New Jersey. The role delivers continuity of care for patients emerging from anesthesia, supports procedural rooms with sedation, and maintains safety and comfort through careful assessment and planning.

Qualified candidates are RNs with active NJ licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and preferably 2 years in PACU or critical care. Per diem positions offer competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition for safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care pre-discharge and during recovery.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Suburban Endoscopy Center
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay Rat: $48.00/hr - $51.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.) Benefits
