Job summary

South Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Pre Op PACU/GI RN for a full-time position in the Miami area. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care before and after procedures, assisting in the OR with conscious sedation, and ensuring patient safety and comfort as they recover from anesthesia.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited RN program with Florida licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia and during PACU care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients from anesthesia emergence to discharge preparation.

PreOp/PACU/GI Registered Nurse at South Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU/GI Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
