Job summary

The Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to manage pre-operative and pain management nursing care. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care across pediatric to geriatric populations in the pre-op setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the pre-op team, educating families, and ensuring a safe, patient-centered environment in alignment with guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nursing program, evidenced by RN licensure.
• Current LA Registered Nurse license.
• 1–2 years of department-specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate pre-operative or pain management nursing care.
• Provide age-specific nursing care in the pre-op unit (pediatric to geriatric).
• Coordinate care with the pre-operative and pain management team.
• Educate patient’s family about the individualized plan of care.
• Maintain a safe environment and deliver excellent patient service.
