Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, through Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center in Manassas, VA, seeks a Full-Time PreOp Registered Nurse to prepare patients for surgery, perform thorough assessments, and ensure comfort.

This role emphasizes education, anesthesia readiness, infection control, and collaboration with the surgical team to maintain flow and safety.

BLS and ACLS required; PACU or Critical Care experience preferred; no weekends or on-call per site; state license required.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
Active RN license in Virginia.
BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
Strong communication and nursing judgment required.

Responsibilities

Conduct preoperative assessments, including reviewing medical histories and current health status.
Educate patients and families about the surgical process to ensure informed consent and comfort.
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a seamless workflow.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
