Job summary

Advocate Health Denver Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PreSurgery Holding area in Denver, CO. This full-time role focuses on preop care with potential to assist in recovery, endoscopy, and the OR.

The nurse will verify patient readiness, start IVs, and communicate with staff and patients to ease anxieties while ensuring safety and meeting all preoperative requirements. Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS preferred; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and optimal experience across the continuum.
• Preop responsibilities with potential to assist in recovery, endoscopy, and the OR.
