Job summary

Atrium Health Denver Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the PreSurgery Holding team in Denver, NC. The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive preoperative nursing care, with opportunities to assist in recovery, endoscopy, and the OR, serving adult GYN, general, sports medicine, endoscopy, and pediatric dental cases.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license in North Carolina, and be proficient in starting IVs

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Proficiency in starting IVs and communicating with adults and pediatric patients.
• Experience in preoperative settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Our new full-time preoperative nurse position will include working in the areas of preop, with the potential to assist in recovery, endoscopy, and the OR. Our patient population consists of adult GYN, general, sports medicine, and endoscopy, as well as pediatric dental cases. You name it, you will get to see it and learn it! Experience in at least preop are preferred, but experience in all areas is an added bonus. Must be proficient in starting IV's, as well as good communication skills with both adults and pediatric patients. Caring for our surgical/procedural population will provide our nursing team with a robust and diverse skillset that gives nurses confidence in any setting. We encourage the pursuit of Clinical Ladder Advancement, professional certification, and strive to grow a strong unit culture of teamwork, commitment, integrity, and caring.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS preferred
• PALS preferred
