Job summary

Physicians Surgery Center of Chattanooga, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc, seeks a FT PreOp RN to assess patients preoperatively and coordinate care with the surgical team.

Responsibilities include patient education, vitals monitoring, medical history review, and documentation, ensuring a safe and efficient perioperative experience in a multispecialty ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.

Responsibilities

PreOp Registered Nurse

• As a Preoperative RN, you’ll assess patients before surgery, ensuring they’re fully prepared for their procedures.
• Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, answering any questions and providing reassurance.
• Monitor patients’ vitals, review medical histories, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and safe experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
