United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a Full-Time PreOp Registered Nurse at Physicians Surgery Center of Chattanooga to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a multispecialty ambulatory setting. The role involves preoperative assessment, patient education, vitals monitoring, and close collaboration with the surgical team.

Ideal candidates will have an RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
Active RN license in the state.
BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

As a Preoperative RN, you’ll assess patients before surgery, ensuring they’re fully prepared for their procedures.
Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, answering questions and providing reassurance.
Monitor patients’ vitals, review medical histories, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and safe experience.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
