Job Summary and Qualifications

Description

Join our team as a Preoperative Nurse at our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating preoperative nursing care. As a valued team member, you will exemplify the values of HCA and provide quality care like family.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare patient care areas before procedures.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments, review patient history and diagnostics.
• Review patient charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transfer to the OR.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification (online not acceptable), ACLS within 30 days, PALS if required.
