Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our team as a Preoperative Nurse at our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating preoperative nursing care. As part of our company, you will embody the values of HCA and provide quality, family-like care.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Prepare patient care areas before procedures.
• Ensure availability of equipment and supplies.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments, review patient history and diagnostics.
• Review charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transferred to the OR.

Qualifications Needed

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification (online not accepted).
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required by facility within 30 days.
