Greenview Surgery Center in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a PreOp Registered Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort while coordinating with the surgical team.

The role requires an RN license, an Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma, and certifications (BCLS; ACLS within 30 days; PALS if required by facility).

Qualifications

• RN license active in state of employment.
• Associate degree or RN diploma or higher in nursing is required.
• BCLS certification required at employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients' care area adequately before case.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and review history and tests.
• Review charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer pre-operative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transferred to the OR.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. As a valued addition to our company, you will exhibit the values of HCA as a whole, as well as your individual center, providing quality care like family.

What you will do in this role:

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR

Qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
• 1+ years of nursing experience in PreOp/PACU preferred
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire

Greenview Surgery Center is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We serve the residents of Warren County and surrounding areas of southern Kentucky. Our center opened in the fall of 2019. We are a part of Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare and the first center in Kentucky. We are located off of I-65. The center is in near the Corvette plant and Museum and Western Kentucky University. Our AAAHC certified center performs over 275 cases a month. We offer ENT, endoscopy, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics and urology services.
