Job summary

Kansas City Urology Surgery Center, part of Surgery Ventures Group powered by HCA Healthcare, seeks a Perioperative Nurse to support preop and postop care in a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center. You will work within a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing care areas, administering pre-operative meds, assisting with IV care, and ensuring discharge criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure.
• Conduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests.
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
• You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
• Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria

Job Summary And Qualifications

Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged.
