Provo Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated SDS Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a busy ambulatory surgical setting. You will handle preop, intraop, PACU, and postop duties with attention to patient safety and effective discharge planning.

The role requires an RN license in Utah and BLS; ACLS is preferred. The schedule is full-time with flexible start times and no weekends, holidays, or overnight hours, offering a stable, predictable rhythm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current State of Utah RN License.
• BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Surgical Services experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting, including preop tasks (vital signs, IV starts, medication administration).
• Manage PACU responsibilities (recovering patients, medication administration, critical thinking).
• Handle postop duties (medication administration, discharge preparation, discharge teaching).
• Conduct prescreen calls for upcoming surgeries (health history, instructions).
• Assist with room turnover and prep for next patient; flexible start times; no weekends, holidays, or overnight hours.

JOB TITLE: SDS Nurse

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. Duties include preop - checking in patients, vital signs, IV starts, medication administration. PACU - recovering patients directly out of surgery, medication administration, critical care thinking. Postop - Medication administration, preparing patients for discharge, discharge teaching. Prescreen - calling patients for upcoming surgeries going through health history, giving instructions. Also helping turn over rooms to get ready for the next patients, etc. Schedule is full-time hours with varying hours and variable days, including 2-3 "closer" shifts. Must have the ability to flex start time 2 hours earlier or later depending on the surgery day and start times. No weekends, no holidays, no on-call, no overnight hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current State of Utah RN License.
• BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Surgical Services experience, preferred
