Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Preadmission Testing Registered Nurse to ensure patients are fully prepared for upcoming surgical procedures. You will conduct comprehensive preoperative phone assessments, verify records, obtain clearances, and review instructions to ensure a smooth surgical experience.

You will participate in governance, uphold safety, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and support multiple Surgical Services areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license with privileges in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives, and care process improvements.
• Performs nursing assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and coordinates with the care team.
