Job summary

The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase is seeking a Registered Nurse for PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high‑quality nursing care. You’ll monitor patients, support physicians in the OR, and care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort through discharge planning.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication. Weekend, night, or holiday shifts are not required; a weekday schedule is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with active state license.
• Current BLS and ACLS; PALS if required by the center.
• Minimum 2 years PACU/Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong nursing judgment and ability to prioritize workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care; evaluate vitals and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms; perform conscious sedation tasks.
• Care for patients recovering from anesthesia, planning discharge.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient privacy throughout care.
