Job summary

Phelps Health is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care using the nursing process within a hospital setting in Missouri. The role emphasizes clinical competence, adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics, and collaboration with the health care team.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN (preferred), have at least one year of health care experience, and maintain MO or Compact-state RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Minimum of one year health care experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri or Compact State; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established hospital policy regarding patient safety measures to ensure optimal safety.
• Provides quality nursing care including administration of medications, nursing interventions, and patient/family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient status and improve quality and safety.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately to support compliance with quality measures.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to physicians and care team to improve outcomes and patient experience.
• Delegates delegated tasks to team members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
