Job summary

Phelps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, with clinical competence across nursing practice areas. You will follow ANA standards and participate in teamwork to support hospital mission and patient safety.

Preferred BSN; Missouri or Compact state license required, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. One year of healthcare experience is often preferred, with opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• One year health care experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri or a Compact State required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established hospital policy regarding patient safety measures to ensure a safe environment.
• Provides quality nursing care including administration of medications, nursing intervention, and patient/family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient status and improve patient safety.
• Documents all patient care activities and quality monitoring items to support compliance.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delegates appropriately to team members while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Performs delegated tasks to maintain quality and patient safety.

Education
