Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an RN - Preop/PACU to provide nursing care in a same day surgery setting. The role requires responsibility for patient care under physician orders and adherence to center policies.

The position emphasizes postoperative assessments, timely medication administration, and smooth patient discharge while maintaining privacy and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse License in State of Texas.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops and implements total nursing care for post-operative patients.
• Records and reports symptoms, reactions and changes in patients.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by physicians.
• Cares for and discharges post-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provides psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintains rapport with physicians and other departments.
• Performs routine charging of medications and supplies.
• Admits patients to sit-up area.
• Maintains supplies and cleanliness in the work environment.
