Job summary

SurgCenter of Camelback is seeking a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to patients before and after anesthesia. You will monitor patient status, assist in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique, and coordinate care from admission through discharge under physician supervision.

The role requires active AZ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and 2+ years PACU or critical care experience. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current AZ Nursing License.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family in preparation for discharge.
