United Surgical Partners International, Inc. invites you to join our Western Carolina Surgery Center as a full-time PreOp PACU RN.

This role encompasses comprehensive preoperative assessments, education for patients and families, and diligent postoperative PACU care within a state-of-the-art ambulatory setting. You will administer medications, ensure infection control, manage IV lines, and collaborate closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to optimize patient flow and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsabilités

• Preoperative assessments and patient history collection.
• Educate patients and families on the surgical process and prep.
• Administer preoperative meds per orders.
• Maintain infection control and IV lines.
• Collaborate with surgical team and anesthesiologists.
• Provide PACU care and monitor vitals and pain.
• Document care and discharge planning.
• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties as needed.
