Job summary

Center for Advanced Gastroenterology Surgery Center is seeking a Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia. You will monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the PACU stay.

The role involves assisting physicians in procedure rooms, supporting conscious sedation, maintaining sterile technique, and coordinating with the care team for smooth discharge planning and patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia, including assessment and discharge planning.
