Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia. The role includes assessing patient condition, ensuring safety, and supporting discharge planning with the care team.

The PACU RN will assist physicians in procedure rooms, support conscious sedation, and uphold sterile techniques. Core duties emphasize nursing judgment, workload management, and clear communication as essential

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
