Job summary

SurgCenter of Palm Beach Gardens is a leading outpatient surgical facility seeking a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care before and after surgery.

The role includes continuous patient assessment, ensuring safety and comfort, assisting physicians in the procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique, and coordinating discharge planning with families. This is a collaborative, patient-centered team focused on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients undergoing preop or recovery from anesthesia.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at SurgCenter of Palm Beach Gardens

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
