The Outpatient Center of Delray is seeking a motivated PreOP PACU Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast paced ASC environment. The RN Pre-op/PACU delivers quality perioperative care using the nursing process and the medical plan of care, reporting to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Requirements include Florida RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, 1–3 years’ PreOP/PACU experience, and BLS/ALS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in Florida.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1-3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and PACU nursing care.
• Utilize nursing process and plan of care for perioperative patients.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure quality patient care.

Job Summary

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the Florida
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
