Toms River Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey to deliver high-quality perioperative care. The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and privacy from recovery through discharge, with support to physicians in the procedure rooms as needed.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license and BLS/ACLS; PACU or Critical Care experience is preferred. Strong communication and prioritization skills are essential for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
