Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia. You will monitor patient condition, ensure safety and privacy, and assist in procedure rooms as needed.

The role requires a NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and strong nursing judgment. Eligibility includes graduation from an accredited RN program and at least 2 years PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • RN license in New Jersey required.
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
  • Support physicians in procedure rooms, with sedation and sterile techniques as needed.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from emergence from anesthesia to discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Toms River Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state of New Jersey
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
