Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide continuity and high-quality nursing care for all patients, with ongoing evaluation of their condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms and support conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and stands out for its patient-centered approach and collaborative care model within a Joint

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Toms River Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey

Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
