USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated PACU Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced ASC environment, delivering high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting.

The RN Pre-op/PACU will provide safe, patient-family centered care using the nursing process, support perioperative services across specialties, and report to the Manager of Peri-operative Services. Must have an active RN license and 1–3 years PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1-3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
• Must be an excellent team player and communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Job Summary

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
