Job summary

Orchard Park Surgery Center is hiring a Preop/PACU RN PRN to join our team. M-F daytime hours. No weekends, nights, calls or holidays. Under supervision, provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia, ensure safety and privacy, and assist physicians as needed. Requires PACU/ICU experience and nursing licensure in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• ASC experience a plus.
• Experience in PACU/ ICU required.
• Good communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of perioperative process including anesthesia implications.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
• Monitor patient condition and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation; assess and prepare for discharge.

Prep/PACU Registered Nurse

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing


• CurrentCO Registered Nurse License


• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS


• ASC experience a plus


• Experience in PACU/ ICU required


• Good communication and human relations skills


• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.

Hourly Range: $53- $57(based on experience)
