Job summary

Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative period in our ambulatory setting. You will assess patients, monitor during recovery, and ensure comfort and safety as they awaken from sedation or anesthesia.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique, and coordinating discharge planning and family education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of their condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and discharge preparation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
