Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards. The role involves coordinating with the care team, ensuring timely assessments, planning and discharge planning, and delivering high-quality patient care.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PALS within 90 days if pediatrics are involved, with PreOp/PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED).
• Licensed RN with no experience in PreOp/PACU and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• PRN: Minimum two years licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and cultural domains.
• Develops a plan of care including discharge planning with patient/family input.
• Delivers direct patient care and coordinates activities of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient and family responses to care and teaching, updating the plan as needed.
• Documents care clearly and timely in the patient record.
