Job summary

Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. seeks a dedicated Prenatal/Infant/Toddler Education Coordinator to lead education services for pregnant women and children birth to age three, aligning with Head Start standards and licensing requirements.

The role includes coaching staff, monitoring program quality across center-based, home-based, and family child care settings, and collaborating with families and community agencies to promote child development and school readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field.
• Three years of teaching experience with pregnant women and infants/toddlers (0-3).
• One year supervisory/administrative/training experience in an ECE/CD program.
• Knowledge of infant/toddler activities, literature and content for bilingual/multicultural education.
• Six semester units in Infant/Toddler Development.
• PITC training completed within 18 months of hire.
• Fluency in two or more languages preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of prenatal, infant, and toddler education services.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and technical assistance to education staff.
• Monitor program quality across center-based, home-based, and family child care settings.
• Collaborate with families, colleagues, and partners to deliver culturally responsive services.
• Review program data and reports to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Support budgeting, grant development, staff training, and program self-assessment.
• Facilitate committees and maintain local/state agency partnerships.
