Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a physician responsible for the clinical management of patients under general supervision. The role requires graduation from an accredited medical program and Maryland physician licensure with ongoing CME to maintain licensure.

The physician will perform initial evaluations, document findings in the EMR, and write appropriate orders while coordinating with the care team. Ongoing education and adherence to GBMC values are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical program.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Maryland with ongoing CME to maintain licensure.
• Board certification appropriate to the physician’s specialty.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Perform history and physical exams and document in EMR.
• Write orders in accordance with hospital policy and patient needs.
• Discuss findings with care team and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and home instructions.
• Pursue ongoing educational opportunities and maintain certification.
