Job summary

UNC Health Appalachian is hiring a Medical Assistant Navigator – Women’s Health to support OB and prenatal patients from intake through care coordination. You will work with physicians and nurse midwives to develop individualized care plans, track progress, and ensure timely follow-up in a patient-centered environment.

As a CMA/RMA with OB/GYN experience, you will document thoroughly in the EHR, assist with priorities, and guide expectant mothers through the prenatal journey while maintaining

Qualifications

• Knowledge of prenatal care and obstetric procedures.
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple appointments and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform prenatal intake and care planning with OB/prenatal patients.
• Navigate patient care and coordinate appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse midwives, and care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and uphold patient confidentiality.
