Job summary

DSM Nutritional Products in Tonganoxie, KS is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 7:30pm–6:30am; training on 1st shift 7:30AM–4:00PM until Q4). You will handle production activities and operate equipment following SHE, SOPs, and quality standards at our new Premix Animal Nutrition site.

Responsibilities include handling raw materials, loading into equipment, packaging, sampling, and maintaining machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6+ months’ production experience preferred, preferably in Premix, Nutritional supplements manufacturing or GMP related industry.
• Ability to operate computers; proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel) and able to use a touch screen.
• Forklift experience preferred (sit-down/stand-up; electric pallet jack).
• Lift 50+ lbs repetitively; move bags and containers.
• Knowledge of and adherence to corporate Safety, Health, Environment policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials, transport from storage to intake stations, load raw materials into process equipment; monitor packaging systems.
• Able to work unsupervised at intake stations; utilize forklifts for materials transport and monitor packaging systems.
• Monitor equipment and production process parameters; record process conditions and actions.
• Report disturbances to the Lead Operator or Shift Manager and inform about production adjustments.
• Take raw material and finished good samples; analyze and decide on operational actions.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and provide support with larger maintenance work when requested.
