Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a First Cook to prepare and serve a variety of foods for residents and staff. The shift runs from 5:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. You will handle breakfast and lunch production, keep equipment clean, and ensure safe temperatures during service.

The role requires reading and following recipes, proper portion control, and coordination with colleagues to meet daily production goals. Experience in large-scale cooking and strong sanitation practice is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and follow written or spoken instructions.
• Working knowledge of recipes, methods and procedures for large quantities.
• Sanitary requirements related to food prep and storage must be observed.
• Knowledge of proper temperatures, storage and serving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Must report to work in full uniform and be on time.
• Open the kitchen in the morning and prepare for service.
• Organize prep and cooking to meet schedule and reduce holding times.
• Prepare foods according to production sheets and recipes.
• Store foods properly before and after cooking; maintain safety temps.
• Serve tray line with correct portion control per menu.
• Coordinate with second cook to meet production needs.
• Clean and sanitize work areas during and after shift.
• Attend in-service meetings and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Oversee supplies and communicate with Food Service Manager to manage inventory.
• Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Manager.
