Drake’s Hollywood is hiring a Pastry Prep Cook to support our culinary team in producing scratch-made pastries, desserts, and dessert components in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The role requires hands-on pastry experience, precise recipe execution, and a strong sense of urgency to maintain quality.

The successful candidate will follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards while maintaining clean, organized workstations and adhering to food safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with scratch pastry production, baking, dough and batter preparation.
• Proficiency in producing pastry components, fillings, sauces and garnishes.
• Strong recipe adherence, measurements, temperatures and storage.
• Certified food handler as required by local/state regulations.
• Energetic, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist executive chefs and kitchen team with daily tasks for service readiness.
• Prepare pastries, desserts, doughs, batters, creams and related components to standard recipes.
• Execute pastry tasks with accuracy and urgency in a high-volume setting.
• Weigh, mix, bake, portion and finish pastry items consistently.
• Operate mixers, ovens, scales and pastry equipment safely.
• Follow recipes and production procedures precisely to ensure consistency.
• Maintain kitchen prep standards and culinary program requirements.
• Assist with daily kitchen setup and breakdown.
• Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary workstation at all times.
• Label, date, store and rotate ingredients using FIFO.
• Communicate shortages or equipment needs to leadership.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and adapt to changes.
