Job summary

Archadeck of Hampton Roads is seeking an Outdoor Living Designer & Sales Consultant to transform homeowners’ backyards into custom outdoor living spaces. You will meet clients at their homes, translate visions into buildable concepts, and guide projects from initial meeting through handoff to the construction team.

The role blends design, sales, and on-site collaboration, requiring construction knowledge, CAD proficiency, and strong relationship-building.

Qualifications

Demonstrated success in consultative, high-value residential sales or related client-facing project work.
Practical understanding of residential construction, remodeling, or design-build processes across multiple trades.
Ability to develop visual, dimensioned concepts for homeowners and drafters.
Experience using CAD, SketchUp, or similar design tools.
Comfort discussing large project budgets, proposals, objections, and closing sales.

Responsibilities

Meet with homeowners to understand goals, budget, and site conditions.
Present customized proposals and guide customers through the sales process.
Coordinate with drafting resources to produce construction documentation.
Evaluate site conditions and potential challenges (grading, drainage, access, permits).
Support project handoff to production and maintain design clarity during preconstruction.
