Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Associate for our Arbour Hospital unit in the Boston area. This role supports milieu management, patient and staff safety, and collaborates with RNs, UNMs, and other MHAs in a psychiatric setting.

The position emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care across a continuum of behavioral health services, with a schedule of Thu–Mon. It requires strong communication, crisis handling, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Behavioral health, psychology, or human services field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Position Summary:

The Mental Health Associate (MHA) is responsible of maintaining the overall milieu management and safety of patient and staff in the unit and collaborating effectively with Unit Nurse Managers (UNMs), Registered Nurse (RNs) and Mental Health Associates (MHAs).

At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We are an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred


• College student who have obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred
