Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Event Production Technician to design, setup, and support onsite and hybrid events for a global technology client. The role requires deep knowledge of video equipment, creative input, and hands-on control-room management to ensure flawless productions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in event production, experience with control-room gear, and familiarity with virtual platforms. Travel may be required; a valid license and lifting ability are needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in event production, broadcast, video production, or similar field.
• 1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events.
• Studio production and event experience.
• Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
• Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
• A keen eye for detail with a knowledge of what creatively works well for broadcast production.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation on production strategy based on event goals and scope.
• Oversee design, setup, and configuration of control room elements for high-quality client productions.
• Determine required hardware, equipment, and assets; oversee testing and quality control.
• Oversee operational approach to fulfill creative production needs, including technical direction, audio mixing, robotic cameras, and graphics.
• Execute virtual events on platforms such as StreamYard, Wirecast, and VMix.
