Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Guest Room Attendant for InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. You will assist with scheduling and room assignments to ensure proper coverage and maintain high guest satisfaction across all areas of the property.

Responsibilities include training staff, inspecting rooms and public areas, responding to guest requests, and supporting housekeeping operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Must speak fluent English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years housekeeping experience.
• Supervisory training/experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and room assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Monitor performance and alert management of issues.
• Ensure staff are trained and have tools/equipment.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and upkeep and retrain as needed.
• Inspect storage rooms and carts for neatness and supplies.
• Respond to guest complaints and fulfill special requests to achieve satisfaction.
• Control expenses and minimize waste in housekeeping.
• Complete paperwork and closing duties like requisitions and maintenance requests.
• Promote teamwork and quality service across departments.
• May perform housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning rooms.
• Log lost and found items per procedures.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
