Job summary

Oak View Group, the exclusive F&B provider for The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, seeks a Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service at events. You will help create welcoming experiences, maintain hospitality standards, and ensure timely, accurate service in a fast-paced venue environment.

Key duties include menu knowledge, friendly guest interactions, and collaboration with kitchen and event staff. Opportunity for tip eligibility and part-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• 6 months in fast-paced, high-volume food service preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or related food service experience.
• Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Clear, respectful communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the menu and any special items being offered.
• Provides quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service to all guests and communicates clearly with customers.
• Ensures food is served at proper temperature and promptly from the kitchen.
• Ensures neat presentation of ordered items with no spill-over.
• Pre-bus tables and bus tables during peak periods.
• Maintains availability to work during peak periods.
• Stocks beverage stations when necessary.
• Maintains high responsiveness to customer desires and requests.
• Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
• Communicates with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve coordination.
• Builds knowledge regarding bar offerings to answer patron questions.
